Hey guys, last thursday i blew up my Y8 crusiing on the highway, Spun a connecting rod bearing blah blah. Well its monday now and saturday i found a clean y7 looked everywhere for a y8 long block had to luck needed this thing on the road and a temp motor till April.

Everything is going fine, tried to swap the y8 mani on the y7 but it was taking alot of work so i said F*** it. Now everything is plugging in. I look at the fuel pressure regulator and it needs a vacuum line, i dont really know or remember where it goes i plugged in a small nipple under the throttle body and i still dont know where to plug in the reg.


Also the Purge canister needs a connector... It should have came on the y7 harness shouldnt it? Also the previous owner cut the non vtec dizzy plug the male connector from the warness, is there a way to rewire it straight into the other side of the connector? they arent colour connected all are different...? I was using a chipped p28 its obd1 right so i wont need 2 o2 sensors.

Why didnt you just switch the Y8 head onto the Y7 block??
