So I just bought this car like 2 weeks ago, the guy said he slid underneath a truck which is why its messed up. the thing is it the hood rattles while i'm driving and it just looks really ugly. i also can't seem to unlatch it using the release cable but i can just pull up on the hood and then push the latch with my finger to open it up

what should i do, new hood and bumper?

 

check to see if you can tighten up that gap on the drivers side (these cars are well known to have pretty bad bumper sag). the passenger side doesn't look bad at all. the bumper looks like it could use some paint but i don't think you need a new one. as far as hood...if you can find one i'd prob just pick up one in better condition.

 

the paint doesn't bother me that much just the weird gap. i'm starting to look for a hood on CL and on here just seems like the only ones people are parting with are CF. i'll take a look at the bumper bolts sometime tomorrow

 

check for any frame damage. See if that is the problem. If there isnt any, then you can take apart everything and redo it again. Before you make a purchase try and do that first. You can always adjust the headlights, bumper, hood, fenders etc..
