Default h22a1 civic coupe egr!!!

so heres my question im running a p13, i need to hook up the egr valve itself but do i need to hook up the lift solenoid. will my motor go into limp mode or not. another thing i think i bought the wrong ecu, i was told the p72 wont recognize egr stuff so hearing that i bought a p72 but it was jdm. that was pretty useless right? also forgot to mention my car is a 95 ex

The egr is an emissions control thing so u don't really need it for HP purposes and since the P72 don't use an egr then u don't need to worry about hooking it up or anything. The P72 will work just fine, I'm using a chipped P72 on my buddy's H22.

correct me if im wrong but arent the jdm p72 and the usdm different. i thought jdm would still have emissions bullshit . i just went to the junkyard and picked up the egr lift solenoid and a new map sensor **** i wished i new that before hand. oh well only costed $16. but by the way if i dont hook the egr stuff up i will throw a cel but it wont put me in limp mode. this swap is crazy i get overwhelmed between converting my car to a manual, doing a full tuck, and the swap. oh yeh do u know if the h23a1 or f22b1 alternator will work also the brackets. my motor didnt come with one. thanks and im sure ill be in contact...

If you unplug the egr, you will not get a check engine light and if you do it will not cause your car to go limp like the other other important sensors.

Differences between the JDM p72 OBD1 is that the JDM unit doesnt look for a vtec pressure switch.

Differences between the JDM P72 OBD2 is that the JDM unit doesnt look for a vtec pressure switch, secondary o2 sensor, the EVAP purge solenoids, and the CPK sensors required for all 96+ vehicles.

Avoid the 00-01 model USDM P72 units because they usually have immobilizer units. (square box)
If you must go OBD2b, then get a JDM P72 OBD2B ecu which does not have immobilizer units.

Yes the usdm and jdm r different but only the AT P72 uses the egr and since the MT ecu don't use the egr then u won't get a CEL. Yes the alt brackets and alt will work from the F22 not sure about the H23 but I think so.
