Default 10's on a 57trim 92oct

I finally got a chance to go to the track with my new setup yesterday. Since Spokane and renegade raceway are already closed I drove over 2hrs to to pacific raceways and back home. My setup is pretty simple nothing crazy so I was expecting mid to low 11's and ended up driving home with a 10.8sec@131mph slip. My brother also ran 10.9@130 with his car pretty much the same as mine except Peakboost HVC kit with GT35R street tuned at 13-14psi

My car
92 civic si full weight only removed the front bumper for the intercooler and the spare tire

84mm beson block B18C
CP pistons eagle rods
stock port gsr head stock cams with brian crower valvetrain and ferrea valves
blox intake with stock throttle body
Precision 780cc injectors and walbro pump 92oct everything else stock
Peakboost FTW kit 57trim with .82ar exhaust and ETS FMIC
ACT 6puck with Quaife LSD
3" VRS exhaust
24.5" MH slicks on exospeed wheels
stock Napa axles no traction bar launching at 7K RPM and shifting at 8.5K

Tuned on crome by David Sosa from SPR in yakima wa
made 401whp on 15psi

I ran consistent 10.9X@130mph and 10.8@131 without a cage the only safety equiment I had was a helmet somehow I got away with three 10sec passes. i'll post up the videos soon

My best was

60' 1.797
330 4.757
1/8 7.129
MPH 103.110
1000 9.176
1/4 10.89
MPH 131.01

it was 2300lbs on a local scale I dont know how accurate that was but its a full interior 92 civic si without the front bumper and spare tire so whatever that weighs I guess. It was pretty cold out and the track was hooking up hard after 1st gear I'm pretty light too 125-130lbs

Congrats

I think its funny how Pacific Raceways will "crack the whip" with safety requirements on some cars and let others slide during the tech inspection. Btw, i was the one asking you and your group if you had an extra set of lugnuts. haha.

Thanks, I guess they thought my car was gonna be slow because they told my brother to change his lugnuts right after I had passed with the same lug nuts? The guy at the end told me to see tech right after I ran 10.9 and the tech guy just told me to slow down but I ran two more 10sec passes after that. What did you end up running?

SICK times on a simple but sweet setup. Imagine what it wouldve ran with a 1.6 60 ft instead of 1.79! ;-)

yea I'm still getting the launch down I think i might of been spinning too much since the 57trim spools up quick. The car has more left in it but I had to drive over 2hrs back home so I stopped after I ran 10.8sec. I might go again next weekend with a little bit more power if I call in sick to work LOL. Hopefully I dont get kicked out from the track.

Keep up the good work.

Ya, i ended up leaving the track and going to a local parts store to get a set. I'm still getting used to driving my car at the track with this power level, and it just blows the 23" slicks off in first. I managed a 12.0 @ 118 with a 1.9 60ft. So it definitely has much more in it. haha

Congrats on 10's and I am surprised they let it slide too. Firebird Raceway (Idaho) gave my buddy the NHRA notice as soon as he made an 11.4@127 (405whp 22psi D16 on 57trim) pass with no cage....instantly came to the pits and handed him the yellow sheet with cage requirements! lol

Hopefully you stay lucky and they dont catch it.

Congrats again!
