Default Suspension Differiences

So imi trying to find out what is interchangeable with what on my 89 Sedan.
It has EX Knuckles up front and in the rear everything is from an 88 CRX Si... i think . Thats what the previous owner told me. It has the strut that goes threw the lower control arm, insted of the one that goes around it.
Now im in the process of installing an air suspension kit. And for the "Bolt In" air struts to work i have to run the DA (or Newer) lower Arms in the rear. Thats no big deal tho.
My problem is the front lower strut forks. the strut shaft is too big to fit into the top of the Fork, no matter how large i streach it. Its about 1/4" too big. Now im sure i can just grind down the shaft, but that would void my warenty. So im wondering, can i just use forks of an EK or Eg? i know that the struts will fit into those, because i have bagged an ek before and the struts just dropped right into the fork.
With those forks interchange?
has anybody ever attempted to air strut an ED Sedan?
Thanks
and ill posst a build thread as soon as its done. will be done by this weekend for sure

I know that air suspension is frowned apon by most of the import crowd, but I want to get as loooow as possible. And I live on an EXTREMLY pot-holed road. And an unlevel drivway. I can barley get up it as it is.

Anybody know if the parts I am looking for will interchange?

Ok. Let's disregard what I'm going to use this info for.
Will ek or eg front forks work? Or are they the same and I just need to drill out the hole on mine??

Ok will do.
Thanks EGEZZY
I know (hope) that people will understand why im doing it.
I want to be low, completly slammed. But i cant even make it up my driveway if i go any lower on my coils. Im only at 1/2 drop as it is.
I dont plan on hopping or draggin or anything. I just want the abiltiy to lay it on the ground.

But i dont have a problem with close mindedness. haha i have grown up cutting up trucks. bagging, bodydroping, shaving, ect. My car is ment for me to like. If others dont. Tough

so, i FINALLY got around to putting my front struts on, and now i have a prob. With the airlift struts alllll the way aired out, i only got 1 inch lower. grrr. its because the new strut is longer than the factory one. Because its made for soo many differient cars.
so now my new question, does anyone out there make shorter lower forks for an EG? about 2" shorter struts, idealy.
or am i gonna have to start fabbing again?

I think you'll find that the axle will hit the fork if you make a shortened fork, at least if you do one 2" shorter. The "shock fork trick" only gains around 1/2", and already makes the axle very close to the bottom of the shock.

Consider relocating the upper perch before playing with the lower mount.
