Default could this be a bad tune?

is this a tune issue?

d16a6
turbo'd
S300 with boost solenoid
all supporting mods
plus 500cc inj
-tuned.
2 weeks prior

short story. quick highlights only.

well a couple of days after the tune the car starts to buck alittle at different rpm ranges.
the idle sometimes idles ok but sometimes not.
-thought it was tps sensor, its new tho. tested it and not a problem.
it will bounce but not stall out. its irratic too. not a steady bounce like most youtube video's i have seen. driving for about 2 weeks, nothing too crazy. just hard accels to get on to the freeway and a few hard start ups from a light but not too often either.

about the second week, just cruising about 40ish, low rpm, the engine just dies. pull over and the engine doesnt start again. no cels. no crazy accelerations just slow cruise when this happened.

the next day.
plan to see if there is problem with fuel pump and dizzy.

pull spark plugs to check for spark first. noticed spark on far driverside plug. then progress to move over to the next plugs till the last one pulled. the one far on passenger side the plug was difficult to twist out with tool. when pulled out, looks like it was smashed up into itself. not sure what the problem is. not too sure if it even melted but more or less looked like it hit something inside the cylinder chamber.

called a friend to describe, he said its detonation.

could a bad tune have lasted this long before failure?
what else could this be?

did you ever hear detonation going on?
Do you have the right plugs (colder) for your setup?

Bad tune could do it if it ever ran too lean.

im not really in tuned with the hearing detonation part. i wish i had the ear for it.

yes the plugs are one of the supporting mods. brand new proper ngk plugs.

im just curious with a bad tune, why i am able to drive so long. also why did it happen when i was just cruising and not pushing it very hard?

Do you here a ping form the engine at all. That would be detination. Did the motor jump timing by chance?

im not sure what a ping sounds like.

from past experience, when my timing was off the engine would stumble really bad or not even stay on. so i would have to say it did not jump for this case. but ill check that for sure.

Sounds like sand or ball bearings bouncing around in the engine.

so far someone there is saying that the valve dropped because the way the spark plug looks.

i have made plans to take apart the engine next week.

could it be a tune issue or not?
