i recently bought a safeguard and it doesn't say v1 or v2 on it. what are the differences? this safe guard has a brass nipple sticking out of the back. also....on the dual mon. there are 2 plugs on it. one plug goes into the safeguard, and the other plug has 3 wires? where do these wires go? power ground illum?

 

i think i got had...but i'm gonna wait for the honda-tech member to reply first. this unit i got doesn't have the maplimiter on it. i'm so pissed.....i just got a email from paypal saying that someone paid me for my rims with someone elses acc or a fraud acc. and they picked it up locally and met me somewhere. the acc was verified and everything. so now...paypal has my acc at -500 dollars. what a day!

 

V2 has the map limiter connector.

 

you'll see a small green 2 wire plug if it has the map limiter on it. it doesnt sound like you noticed that though.

the dual monitor: one plugs into the J&S yes and the other is tapped into your o2 sensor.

the 3rd wire is a shielded ground for the o2 sensor wires. you'll have to play with that and the ground wire on the back of the dual monitor to get it to behave well.
