Default 96-98 front end or 99-00??

alright guys so i have been debating on the front end conversion. reasons why i like the 99-00 year is where the fog lights are located, to me thats awsome.

i really dont have any reasons why to like the 96-98 besides the fact that i have it already but with out side markers.

I wanna hear what you guys like about the 2 diffrent front ends and why you dont like them... thanks in advance

I think it depends on how well the car is executed. i've seen some ugly *** 96-98's that would make me hate it but, depending on the mod's, and color of the car, thats what can make it look fire.

personally i'd go 96-98 with 00 tails.

ok lets see just a example: nhbp for color, yellow valve cover, and a built motor??
i dont think ill be getting a CTR wing just because everyone has them. So i was thinking keeping it stock or a spoon, might do a 5 lug since the car will be track and spoon breake setup

Personally, I think the 99-00 OEM fog lights are hideous. They stick out like a sore thumb on the bumper, are a distracting grey color, and cover the nice-looking-sculpted-psuedo-side vents. I don't know why they're so popular. For the price, I'd rather get the OEM lip for that bumper instead. If you just want nice looking foglights, stay with the 96-98 bumper. The 96-98 OEM fogs look way better! They'll sit flush inside the bumper opening and you get your choice of round or square shaped lights!

As for the front end itself. The 99-00 front does look a lot more agressive, but I've always felt that it looks better on a coupe than a hatch(or sedan). the smaller headlights and similarly proportioned grille looks more approrpiate for the subdued lines of the hatch. I also don't like how the newer front end does not line up with the rest of the body lines on the car. The newer bumper is softer and rounded off. Also, looking at the side profile, the 99-00 front bugs me a little because the crease that runs along the bottom of the car(just above the side skirts) just ends abruptly at the front wheel wells! The crease should run into the front bumper like it does on the 96-98 front end. The 99-00 front only looks good when you are looking head-on at the car, and WITHOUT fog lights!

Neither.

Swap an 05 Denali front clip on it and call it a day.

It's personal preference...build the car for you, not for the internet. There are just so many "what do you like" threads.

99-00=Cleaner and more simple.
96-98=More aggressive and distracting.

yup thats what i was thinking about, just getting the siR bumper with moldings, some fenders and a hood and call it a day.

there is a black hatch owend by mugen boy that just looks amazing with the siR conversion.

hmm i had a ctr lip till that thing broke of, i was thinking more like mugen or spoon lip.
I would love to have one of those ARC magic lip looking things but im sure that wont happen, also havent desided on a spoon or stock spoiler
