I have a 95 EG hatch with a B16 swap. The car runs, and revs fine on a stock p28, but when I put a chipped p28 (just chipped for b16) in the car it starts and idles fine but as soon as the throttle opens it bogs and will not rev. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

 

You may want to double check the tuning on your chip. You may by chance have a SOHC chip in your ecu by mistake. The p28 will run either SOHC or DOHC engines.

 

needs to be tuned? it hasnt been tuned for the afr and basemap at WOT yet. the stock p28 at least has a factory tune.

 

I just bought the ECU with tune from phearable.

 

it is bad, nothing more to say. one works and the other dosent. problem solved.

 

ive seen both hit and misses from phearable.net if the one you got from them is the b16 chipped and it isnt running, id send it back to them and tell them what is going on.
