a 99 Civic EX? It won't lock from the inside, manually or electronically
and it won't lock from the outside either when i use the key

the lock looks like this





and i have no idea what to do. and i need to fix this quick
any advise/help would be greatly appreciated

 

Have you tried pulling on the inner door handle (as if your trying to open the door) and then try to lock it?
This has happened to a couple hondas ive owned
I guess the metal rods tha lock/unlock bind with each other sometimes

 

every honda i have owned you have had to open the door handle then lock it. another possiblility is that the arm that locks the door is bent cause the lock from the pic isnt straight anymore. just pop the door pad off and see what is happening.

 

yeaa i tried doing that but it wouldn't lock,and it's frustrating knowing your car is not fully locked and ****, and i was thinking of taking the door panel off and check out what;s going on in there.

 

yeah i would def take the door panel off. i bet your rod is bent near the latch. should be an easy fix though.

 

it looks like the metal arm that comes out is bent but i would take the panel off and check to see if a tab broke

 

Let us know what it looks like with the panel off.

I currently havr my panels off so i can post pics for comparison if you need
