Default Any DIY on paint engine blocks???

ok while my built b16a is on the engine stand i guess it be good if i get it repainted to look new again. anyone know the steps of painting an engine block??? and what type or brand of paint and product is best to use??? if there is a DIY on here im not able to find it so a link would be good. thanks.

Dude just get some purple power and a wire brush. Clean up the block/tranny really good get all that grease off. you don't want that under the paint it doesn't look good. then go to the parts store and buy a can of high heat paint, color should be aluminum. but get a few different cans and see witch one looks the best. You should end up looking like the one in the second pic

i use driveway cleaner on some of the motors ive painted and it worked better than that purple stuff just dont let it sit for too long or it will stain the block then youll have to scrub the **** out of it
