Default Throttle Body Spacer

Hey guys, is a throttle body spacer worth it to buy on my 1999 civic dx. Would it really increase hp by like 15?? Cuz thats what it says in several places online and i wanna know what you guys know about this mod, thanks.

NO! that's pretty much it. think of how much HP your car has...like 95? maybe 110? there's no way your car is going to gain 10% with a stupid spacer. don't do it.

...still more like 95-110 at the wheel, haha. Chill dude, we've all just heard nonsense about miracle power adders like throttle body spacers. Just keep in mind that cams are one of the biggest upgrades and still they only add around 10-15.

Probably a tune can get you more power (pricey; but more power nontheless)

I can see the spacer possibly moving the power band, but not by much. Think of how the LS and B20 have long intake runners to help with low end power and the ITR and B16 have shorter runners.

Those things are made in an attempt to emulate the high rise manifolds that you would put on your v8 to create intake velocity. You already have so much with the long intake tube and runners that one would do about nothing for your car. Save your maney!

longer runners create better top end, not lower end. the loner the runner the longer the air takes to "drop" in with the fuel which creates a power "delay" making top end pull harder when the air is moving faster
