Bought a civic it came with a cluster with the white backlit indiglo gauges.
Not a big fan but swapping them out is not a priority right now.
the problem is, they flicker as I drive like there is a bad connection and occasionally just shut off all together.

Ive played around with the wires to the dimmer.
Haven't tried jumping it yet, although its the got the switch to change from grn/blu and a rheostat for dimming, so I wasnt sure about just jumping it.
How are these things wired up? if I had a better Idea of whats involved in installing them Id be able to resolder any connections and make sure its not just a open or bad connection.

any pointers would be helpful or if anyone has any experience with these things Id appreciate it.

i know this isnt what your lookin for but im in a situation similar to yours, except i started messin with mine and successfully made it stop working all together, just figured i let you know you werent alone! ha i think getting a new backlit kit is going to be the only suggestion

 

yea mines totalled now as well.
ha, I may just try to find a stick crv cluster.
He super glued the backlights on.

 

yeah dude i have to get a new cluster to fix mine... they f'd up m whole thing
