is there something wrong with my valves?
so i took my JRSC off today and took a gander down my #4 runner and i see this

theres a small gap as if they didnt seat right...is the normal? all other 3 cylinders look fine, heres a pick of #1 valves

the car ran like crap but i figured it was a fuel pump problem...

bent valves. take the head off set it on the valve cover and pour some alcohol in the combustion chamber. if it comes out any of the runners then the valves are bent.
As mentioned above that cylinder may be in the intake stroke and nothing is wrong.
Chances are you shouldn't be diagnosing your problems.
Who built/tuned the car.
well i honestly i dont think i ruined anything but what would be some symptoms of bent valves? would i hear anything unusual coming from the motor? and smoke? i thought if the #4 valves opened, the # 1 valves would be open also...am i and idiot for thinking this?
if really bend do a compression test and you 'll see it

Exactly, turn if over 360* (couter clockwise, slowly; mark bolt and pulley so it doens't move). Otherwise pull off the valve cover and look at the cam lobes. If they are "sideways", pointing to the front or rear of the car, they're probably just opening or just closing.
If the valve is bent that bad, it probably would have snapped by now. And since the JRSC runners are so short, it would lead to a noticable power loss, with exhaust gasses being pushed into other cylinders.
