Is this "cage" legal? 9.99/135 or quicker?
not with 100% certainty, but the door bars arent legal, no diag bars. i dont think it is legal. but i have seen some shady stuff fly. well not that had to be cert'd.
i say no, the other then what was posted above the plates arent 6x6, where its mounted to the car, and with bolt in you have to have plates on the bottom as well
this example is more for autocross, scca type racing. this wont pass for drag NHRA spec

I heard one of the NHRA tech's drill a kid on his autopower roll cage durring tech inspection before. "there is nothing that makes them legal for NHRA" is what the tech said. Tube diameter is too small, wall thickness is too thin, bolted together isnt a good idea ( i believe nhra requires the cage to be welded together) and the tech was also talking about the ^^^ floor plates not being 6x6".
its a bolt together cage. SHOW CAR ONLY.
the only thing that can be bolted is the door bars(swing out style) & thier only good to 10.000 sec. after that welded only.
that cage probably isnt even chromemoly.
& for the record door bars must pass between your elbow & shoulder when u sit in the car anywhere else u can fail tech. & maybe cage sert if they get technical.
