My LS Tranny 2nd to 3rd grinds, 4th can't get into it sometimes. So I'm thinking about getting a GS-R Tranny.

And plus the LS gearing is way too long for 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear.

If I switch to a GSR Tranny, will the turbo spool up faster in 3rd, 4th, and 5th?

 

yeah, get the gsr. i read somewhere that they are built better than the ls and b16 trannys. i imagine youd like it better. i want to get one down the road, once i kill mine.

 

depends on when you reach full boost with you set-up. The tranny wont help the turbo spool, it will however increase your engine rpms in 3rd/4th/5th gears. So it all depends where your engine makes power.

If i remeber correctly. i could go about ~65 or so in my gsr @8k in second, ~90 in third, and ~110 in fourth if that helps.

Fifth gear goes like this.

2.5k= 50
3k = 60
4k = 80.....etc. See the trend?

Go with the Gsr tranny, you'll by much happier. Accelerate faster, not stay in boost longer.

i have a full LS built, I went with GSR tranny and KAAZ LSD.

 

find u a civic si 3rd and 4th and fix your tranny
even better if u get a gsr f-drive
