Default clutch or axle? help

ok so i drive a 00 em1. it has an act clutch and prolight flywheel. lately ive been experiencing a lot of clutch chatter when the car is cold (don't drive it cold just pulling it out of my garage) when engaging the clutch i hear a squeeking sound wich i determined is the slave cylinder. when letting off clutch in first sometimes i hear a thud and experience what feels like wheel hop. sometimes when shifting the car thuds when i disengage the clutch. i think i may have more than one problem. i believe that the axle is causing the wheel hop.thud. not sure about all of the clutch chatter. clutch is 6 years old and im not sure how long these clutches last. does anyone have any insight or experienced this before? any help would be greatly appreciated

its most likely your clutch and/or the throw-out bearing (98% sure). 6 years? jesus. no wonder. i like to replace my clutch usually every 2-3 years.

i don't see it being your axles at all.

I have this same problem. I just replaced my clutch and flywheel with a stage 2 3-puck and 9lb flywheel from Exedy. My car is so low that the axles pop and snap (so to speak) when I turn at low speeds. I'm actually raising my car up today to get rid of alot of issues that being so low brings up. Your ball joints, shocks, lower arms, axles, brakes can all be affected by improper suspension geometry juuuust because you want to slam your car to the ground like a retard. Look at the 99-00 Civic Type R. It RAPES around well known tracks (Suzuka) in stock form with good handling. It isn't slammed on the tires is it......

my car isn't slammed. it's on tokico blues with an eibach pro kit. did you have the chatter/wheel hop issue? if you where looking at my pics, the car isn't like that anymore. i understand it could be many things, so the clutch didn't help?

squeeking sound? thats when i engage and disengage the clutch but only when im in nuetral and listening for it. i think it's just my slave cylinder causing that particular noise. thumping sound? is after i disengage the clutch when starting, shifting

this is the first honda without an oem clutch that i've owned for more than a couple of months. only reason i know it's been that long is looking at old reciepts that came with the car. not because i don't maintain my cars, it's lack of knowledge of life of aftermarket clutches.

i have a act prolight but it's 6 years old... does that really matter? I would get it resurfaced but i'm just making sure i don't need to order a flywheel too.

clutch chatter is usually a symptom of an oil soaked disc
