Default Anyone has a write of how to adjust your E-Brake?

I was wondering if anyone has a write up or can do a write up on how to adjust your emergency break so you wont have to pull it up super hard and so it will grip. I know even though if i yank my E-brake up it doesnt grip all that well.

Jack up the rear of the car, and put it on stands.

Remove the center console.

Pull the parking brake (e-brake) lever up one click.

Tighten the adjusting nut until the brakes drag slightly when the rear wheels are turned. (the little nut between the two cables. can't miss it.)

Release the brake lever fully, and check that the brakes do not drag when the rear wheels are turned. Readjust, if necessary.

Make sure the brakes are fully applied when the brake lever is pulled up all the way.

Reinstall the center console.

i don't think you need to remove the center console. i believe there's access to the nut if the rear console cover is removed (the location where the rear cup holder would go)

With the top removed; you can look down inside and see that even with the rear cover removed, you don't have a lot of room to work.

not removed in photo. represents limited space just the same)

Wit the center console completely removed (which only takes a couple minutes) you have all the room you need.

.. just sayin'

Edit
: I've done it both ways, and it works both ways. You just have more room doing it this way.
