Starting
Me and friend are done with the timing and now when we try to start it , it doesnt. but when we take a flat head and go to the starter and take a flathead and have it touch a ground the a wirer near the starter it starts. just wondering if i have to the replaced the starter or something else.
before messing with the timing did it start fine? have you messed with anything else? sounds like the starter might be just fine. it could be the clutch switch, or a malfunctioning ignition switch.
