1998 Honda CRV
Hello, I have a 1998 Honda CRV and I just changed out the battery and now I cant listen to the radio because it's asking for a code. What are some possible codes I can try? Also, the Honda dealer told me that I had to pay them $60 to pull out the radio and look at the serial number and I can't get the serial number by holding down the 1 and 6 buttons. PLEASE HELP!! I'M GOING CRAZY WITHOUT ANY MUSIC!! THANKS!!! :D
i think it was behind the glove compart ment box...?!
if i remeber it right, i might have ssn it there when i was
replacing my cabi air filter....
if not you should go to the dealership/call them first,
then prsent all your papers/titles/vin and hopefully theyll
get you the code, if not theyll ask you to bring the car there,
i think the last time ive heard, the dealership charges not less
than $100?? for them to get pull the stereo and check the serial
numbers there.....
goo luck!

go to best buy, if you cant do it. The radio needs to be pulled off to get the serial number. You call the dealer with that and the vin number, they give you the code. At BBY it's $55.24 after tax.
You can retrieve your code by going to this website: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/. You need your VIN, radio serial number, zip code and phone number matching those on file. I suggest that you try it.
well that site asks for the serial number which I don't have... and I didn't buy the car from a dealer so it would be the other person's info and I don't have any contact or anything with them. so that site wouldnt help much

As stated there is no way to cheap out on it, you need the serial number. The cheapest way to do it, is to do it yourself. I do this for a living. I know what I'm talking about.
nobady would know it but you. just grab your trusy old screwdriver and start removing the dash to get the radio out. it took me about 1 hour my first time. its the sticker right on the very top of the head unit. dont pay $60. the worst that can happen is you break a few clips. MAN UP AND DO IT!!!!!
Kindly get me the radio code for honda CR-V 1998 with VIN: JHLRD1863WC064294 and radio serial: 97J33288.
Thank you for your anticipated support.
