hey fellas i get a clicking noise from the head only in the morning for about 10 second then it goes away , u think it needs a valve adjustment.?

my car does this too. i am pretty sure it needs a valve adjustment...just haven't had time to take mine in.

 

Tapping, ticking sound? If so, then yes you most likely need an adjustment.

 

Is the your engine oil low? What type of oil and oil filter are you using?

 

good on oil and using 10/40 castrol in a b20b

 

Definetely could be your valves....all Honda's I have seen will make a slight ticking noise at cold start-up wait about 2 minutes to warm up and it should go away start with a valve lash adjustment.

Keep in mind though that when you first start the car in the morning all of the oil has drained into the oil pan. It will take a few seconds for the oil pump the circulate oil back into the head. Valve adjustment wouldn't hurt though.

 

yeah but i think is worse than normal and a adjustment wont hurt

 

Does the car have high miles on it?
