Hey guys, I've got somewhat of a dilemma dealing with my new cat and exhaust system that I am about to put in, and want to see what you guys would do. The problem is with the collector on the header and the collector on the cat. So I bought a direct-fit magnaflow cat and Apexi WS2 cat-back system, which fit together all fine and dandy. But then I started thinking how the collector on the cat 2.25 inches and wanted to check out my header collector and of course with my luck it is 2.5 inches (It is sometype of replica header, not sure on the exact model).

So what would you guys do? Modify the header? Modify the Cat? or return the cat and get a universal piece? I think I would rather modify my header because it is somewhat beat up because my EM1 is pretty low. And I'd rather not use a universal cat. Im sure some of you will say I already answered my own questions, but I have no experience with this sort of situation so that I why I am asking. Thanks alot guys, I appreciate it!!
