installed new speakers; Very Loud high frequency beeps, no music.
just installed a set of speakers into a car, after wiring it all up I went to test it out.
played no music.
it just made a series of extremely loud high frequency beeps.
volume at head unit doesnt effect volume at speakers( @ 1, the speakers were screamin).
there is only 2 feet of wiring going to the rear channel and its perfect only one solder joint.
I have the front channel disconnected and it still does this.
I didnt mess with any of the wiring before the amp, previous owner installed it so id guess thats where the problem lies.
they are a set of brand new kicker 6x9's, with a kicker 4 channel amp.
ive never had this problem before and Im stumped what should I check first, and has anyone experienced this before?

Kicker 4 channel amp
Kicker 6x9 coaxial speakers in the rear deck.
I dont have the front channels hooked up and there is only about 3 feet of speaker wire going to the rear speakers.

the amp is a 30watt rms per channel I was using just to get everything working.
the speakers can handle 90 watts rms so they are just fine.

Could be a bad head unit or amp. Or rca cables. I would try the radio to see if its the problem and then move on to the amp.

Disconnect the speakers from the amp. Run the multimeter across them in the ohms setting to check for continuity. You can check the rcas by unplugging them and checking for discontinuity between the ground and the center terminal. Then check for continuity between the center terminals on each end, and do the same for the grounds.
