95 ex coupe, sunroof goes opens and closes each time no problem. But when I open it, half way thru starts to get weak. It like goes up and down and shakes a lil. Idk if that's dirty or needs new motor but any suggestions before I put my money to the garbage.

 

IDE say get a new motor sounds like it could be goin out or something is binding, also maybe regrease the tracks it rides on. Mine if it's cold I have to help is up but worm no problems I also have same car 95 ex coupe

 

True, I had a 95 gsr that did the same thing. I took out the sunroof switch and sanded the pins a bit, it worked good. The sunroof wouldn't close sometimes too. Maybe I'll ty that first before a new purchase.

 

Did you ever come across your sunroof closing to soon and scraping the roof? mine does that it sucked! I have to help mine along and push up so it wont.

haha...my crx did that too right after i painted the car. like literally i had opened it at least a dozen times and finally my father was like how did you get so many scratches on the roof already. then sucks getting it back on track.

also i would clean and regrease the tracks. if its just jumping the it just isnt sliding smooth enough and catching back and forth on each side.

 

That's most likely gonna be the problem. It probably has dirty/old grease that's messing it up but if I clean and regrease, should be good to go. How'd you get scratches all over your roof though?

 

remove the old grease and replace it with new grease,
And for the sunroof scratching durfeecs roof, I think the crx sunroof goes up above the roof and not down and under

 

yeah the sunroof was off the track half way on one side and it was sitting on the roof and opening and closing on it. so does the eg sunroof but its just a way better setup overall than the crx sunroof.
