uneven clutch wear
I have an 88 civic dx hatch with obd1 b16 and ls cable tranny. so my clutch went out and when i removed tranny, there was a couple of clutch pieces in the flywheel/clutch housing and a bung of shaved like clutch residue everywhere, when i removed pressure plate and looked at clutch there was huge uneven wear. the side that touches flywheel still had clutch padding left but the side that touches pressure plate was worn down to metal. what could have caused this uneven wear? maybe my clutch cable was to tight? or is that normal wear? anybody know?
not true. this past weekend i saw a guy put a clutch pp, and disc in by just aligning it with a extension, and his finger.
the tranny went on, but it took a little force for it to line up correctly.
just a note, i do not recommend this finger trick, cause it was a bitch to put the tranny back in.

Um I don't think so, the side of the clutch that makes contact with flywheel was fine, but is there somewhwere I can take flywheel to be resurfaced? Like I asked from the beginning, can u have ur clutch cable to tight or to loose? What are consequences?

yeah you can get a flywheel resurfaced. you should everytime you replace the clutch. also you can have your clutch cable to tight or loose. if it was too loose you would have a lot of dead pedal and possibly you wouldnt be disengaging the clutch when you shifted.
if it was too tight it would be constantly slipping the clutch cause it couldnt fully engage. but even if you had it too tight or too loose it should have worn flat.
