ok im looking at this 1990crx so called si it dont have the si seats are the disk swap does the crx come with disk in the back but the si badge is in the back by the hatch but.. it does have a sunroof> let me know honda gods.. if its a si or not....and is there a place on the body or title where it says si...

Also look at the 8th digit in the VIN if that number is a 6 then it's an HF or an Si.

if it has an sunroof its an si , but also check and see if it says CRX on the door panels

 

def not all si crx's come with sunroof and only the 88 crx came with rear drum if im not mistaken but sunroof is a must! and obviously multiport fuel injected if it has a carburetor on it its a dx!

 

if you wanna no for sure look at the VIN number if its si it should start JHMED9 and if its JHMED8 its dx, not sure the vin for hf but that should help you out alot

 

i have a HF already and the vin starts with jhmed8

 

I mean I wouldn't be that upset if I thought it was an Si and got an HF. *shrugs*

Only difference is the sunroof, however HF's never came with sunroofs, unless it is aftermarket.

when i bought mine i didnt no much about si and dx and hf, i bought it and just thought oh its an si because it has the badge, but then i came across this info like a week after i got it and realized si came with sunroof so i checked the vin and its a dx lol

 

i have full si interior swap and i would not go by this the vin is the best especially the pink slip

all the si crx i seen has a sun roof plus the crx lettering in the door panels try that

It should be clairified that all Si's had "power" sunroofs, not the pop up manual style. By this alone, you can tell if the chasis is an Si or not.....it's that simple!

 

Correct, i believe that 88-89 HF have pop up manual style sunroof.
