oil in my distributor
ok need help guys i searched and came up short, friends car is dieing due to oil appearing in his distributor, do i need to change his distributor or is it just a seal, car has been running fine for a while after he put the a6 head on his b7

You can replace the shaft seal if you want to take the time to disassemble and replace it. To replace the whole distributor to me is like buying a new pair of shoes because one of you shoe laces broke. The seal is like $10 plus shipping, I just did mine about three months ago.
Ditto getting a new oil seal (not the o-ring). Here are a few sites I found last year that may still offer it:
