ok im trying to pick up a set of black 09 seats like new friday and ive heard they dont quite fit my ap1 well not the passenger seat really. i would like to know if there is a easy way to make them fit without having to do any real mods so i know not to even bother. anything will help im here to learn and im new to the s2000 world since i just got her thanks

 

yeah the rails are different... im pretty sure you just have to swap the rails out...

 

Put your AP1 rails on the AP2 seats, done and done.

 

the floors are a little different also. The seats in an AP2 sit a little higher than the seats in an AP1.

 

09 seats are tight

Are these the seats with actual headrests and not the honey comb hideout at the top? I saw some on a few 2006 models, but it was only at a certain dealership so I wondered what the deal was. Does anyone have pictures, I want to verify these are different.

EDIT: Nevermind, was finally able to verify off an actual user's car. Question now, is the headrest adjustable at all?

 

no the headrest is fixed.

 

Did the seller take the seats out of their S2000? If not, where did they get them?

 

Only the 00-05 Models come with the honey comb hole (Helmet hole) in the seat. 06-09 came with the solid "headrest". Seats are all one piece, no detachable headrest.

 

Well that sucks, I'll have to go to the dealership just to check out whether I want to hunt them out. I have to do a lot of adjusting if I want to rest my head back. I feel like I'd never be able to take a long drive and just cruise.
