Default F22B DOHC Swap No Start

over the weekend i swapped a F22B Dohc into my 91 accord dx
it's not starting.
the distributor is good, i swapped the internals from my f22a1 distributor into the f22B's distributor housing.
the starter is good it's from my f22a1.
i used the injectors from the F22B dohc, i'm going to swap the injectors tomorrow.
the car cranks but no start. i'm getting fuel and spark.
i didn't mess with the timing belt. other than that what else should i be looking for?
also, a chunk of my transmission cracked off, will it be ok? i planon JB welding the chunk back into place.

double check the timing anyway. if its off it might not start. are you getting spark?

how did your tranny get like that? did it break on the outside or from the inside?

i've read the write up on this swap and the guy swapped the manifolds. is that necessary? or can the f22b dohc manifold be used?

i changed the injectors, switched the alternator for a known good one, and made sure the crank was tdc. still no start.

try looking at the thermostat ground. also make sure the valve cover and tranny ground is tight.

Don't forget the ground on the IM like on the F22A; unless, thats the same one on the thermostat housing.

the ground on the IM should be on the driver side of the manifold correct? i checked the other 3, i'm not sure if there is another one but i will check.

ok, i made sure all my grounds were connected.
the distributor is all good, the only thing i can think of as far as that is that the the coupler is switched?
finally, i'm getting a solid CEL when the service connector is jumped, is that a bad ground or the TPS?

yes i did the swap and it is necessary as ivebeen told so the computer can read the sensors otherwise you will need to changhe some wiring and computers and such....and as i recall i used the f22b distributor in its entirity and modified nothing on it

and the ground your reffering to(ECU ground) is on the pass side just junder the thermo housing

could it be that when i swapped the distributor internals, that i put the wrong coupler on? i did notice that when i unbolt it, the distributor comes out rather easily.

Did you change out the old plugs? Make sure they are not cracked. Similiar thing happened to me. I didn't put in new plugs just wanted to see if I could start it and it wouldn't start. Couldn't figure out why. plugs looked fine but were broke in the middle were the porcelan connected.

then you may have put the distributor in 180 degrees backwards...as i said it only goes in one way...the other way there will be a slight gap if you look for it

i switched the coupler. yes, it only goes in one way.
i'm getting an intermittent code 15, i changed the ignition control module.
sometimes, i get a code 15. sometimes, i just get a solid CEL when i jump the service connector.
i sprayed some starter fluid into the IM and it gurgles a bit like it wants to start, but nothing.
tomorrow, i'm going to change plugs again.

ok so here's where i'm at:
i was getting a code 15, so i changed the ignition control module (bought a brand new one). no more code 15, back to a solid CEL.
i followed the write up by mrtodd, and i am pretty sure my ecu is malfunctioning. i don't have a known good one at the moment so i'm done for the night. i'll try to track one down.

mine is manual... i've actually forgotten how to drive auto lol...

we've established that the distributor will only fit in one way.
i keep hearing that my distributor could be 180* out of timing. my rotor should be facing the #1 cylinder on the cap. how could it be 180* out if it only goes in one way?
