So I have a Civic Si that had power steering removed. I really can't stand how hard it is, what materials and tools are needed to install it back on there? How much would this run me? Any help is appreciated thanks.

Yup, I hope it wont be too hard, I mean Im sure there are leftover lines and the rack is still a power steering one.

 

well do u see lines in the grille? and is anything looped, cause thats the only way to remove?

 

Yeah theres lines/hoses in the grille and behind the drivers headlight. Theres one hose thats got a screw in it hehe.

 

parts needed

1. power steering pump
2. belt to run the pump
3. power steering fluid reservoir
4. hose to run from rack to pump
5. hose to run from reservoir to pump

not sure on prices but after that its not hard to install.. make sure you bleed the system properly and never let it run out of fluid while doing so.. very bad for rack

oh and there should be a plug from the harness that plugs into the line running from the rack to the pump.. best way to bleed is put car on jack stands in the front then after youve filled the reservoir to the cold line (bottom one) spin the wheel back and forth (with the car off) until the fluid goes down.. repeat until fluid stops going down.. then start the car.. some bubbles should come up in the reservoir, turn car off and spin wheel back and forth 15-20 times then turn car back on.. repeat until no more bubbles
