Default water in trunk!

I searched but didnt find anything so i was just wondering if any DC5 owners have had trouble with water leaking into your spare tire compartment? If so what have yall done to stop it. I have checked all my seals and all are good.

yup welcome to the DC world....

it's usually the tail light seals. Usually always actually... I'd buy new ones and put them on... I had a small problem with my DC2 leaking water so when i changed seals I also used clear silicone

I have it all the time. Have no idea where it comes from but its too much water for it tp come from small leaks. I put a towel in there and change it every few weeks lol

Hahaha. My old Integra leaked as well, but it was in an accident and I don't think it was repaired properly. If the DC5 is anything like the DC2, check the sunroof drain tubes to make sure they are draining outside of the car, and not in your trunk. You'll have to remove the plastic paneling in the trunk to investigate.

taillight seals, get new ones and use silicone, also sunroof drain tubes, and crap gets under the weather stripping for the hatch.

more like a Honda problem..my civics did the exact same thing. I had a gutted civic hatch and lets just say, my rubber duckie was a floating passenger in the trunk

Hmm, I've had a bunch of Civics and Integras. Never had any problems with water inside the car, lucky me

DC2 leaks if the light s aren't properly seated or sealed ans the slightest bidy flex acan cuase this, maybe the DC5 is similar. I have to clear silicone the top of the entire taillamp assembly where the water is desinged to run off into the middle of the trunk hatch.
