what ecu for my build
The easiest ecu setup for your car is to get a chipped p28 ecu and get it setup for the ITR.
You could also send out your stock 92 civic ecu to get chipped, converted to vtec, and programed for the ITR, which would be the cheapest way.

The P72 ecu is a GSR ecu.. which is not even close to what should be running the ITR.
For one the ITR does not have IABs, which the gsr has. I would honestly just go with the chipped ecu option.
And the OBD1 or OBD2 choice all depends on what harness you used to put the motor in the car.

no you dont want to run a stock p28 on your itr motor. you could buy a ecu jumper harness converting from obd1 to obd2 since the itr motors are obd2..which would cost more then just getting a p28 chipped with an ITR basemap..
