Battery Relocation/Fuse Box Relocation issues
OKay guys so as the titles reads I'm having issues with this.
I took the fuse box out and split that harness off of the main harness off of the ECU without cutting or splicing any of the main wires other than the 4gauge wire from the battery and the 4gauge wire running to the rest of the harness. I relocated the battery to the trunk using 0 gauge wire and two ring connectors because apparently they don't make butt connectors for 0gauge. I used JB welb to stick the connectors together and i still have the dash out from doing all this and try to start the car and it doesn't even try to turn over.
So im wondering is it the JB weld, having the dash out, or is a main wire spliced somewhere?
thanks for the help.

My advice.....Never mess with Honda Electrical. Like it needs any more reason to breed gremlins.
Messing with Honda's Electrical is like having a Mogwai party in a rainforest after midnight.

ahh.
i guess ill just redo the coonection without the jb weld and put the dash back in and try to find a better ground on the chassis somewhere and go from there.
thanks anyway.

Yeah my guess would be something with the JB Weld interfering with the connection. Best thing i would recommend for that would be to solder the connection and throw some heat shrink tubing over it for protection.
However, do an electrical tape job first to make sure that's the problem before you go for something more permanent.

I checked on JB welds website and what I used isn't recommended for electrical so that's a fail on my part.
and i tried to sauter it but the gold plate doesn't take to sauter at all.
thanks for the help. i'll give it a try when i get back to the car this friday.
only other thing that I'm wondering about is do the gauges and everything have to be hooked up for the ignition switch to turn over?

If you have access to a multimeter, you should be able to tap it somewhere in the fuse box and see if the voltage is even making it down the line with the JB weld. That will at least tell you if that's the problem or not.
thanks for everyones help.
it was a combination of a few things.
the JB welb, the connection on the starter/fuse box wires to the battery and the ground.
running fine now and looking a little bit prettier.
