Welcome. Goodluck with your Civic, make sure you check out the rules at the top of the EF civic/crx page, this section is for technical questions.

Half of the people on here aren't strictly Honda people... other people (including myself) are well versed in V8's... With that being said these forums are for technical questions... Where is the TECH?!?!

I just joined the site as well, so uhhh, welcome.... I can't start a thread yet, so I'm getting my post count up. Working with an old school 1987 Honda Civic Si. I'm an I-6 guy, but this is a project I can't turn down. I'll post a introduction thread with details once I can. Not trying to thread jack, but people are asking for a tech question, so I'll ask one. What engine would you recommend for an 87 Civic Si? The engine in it now has just over 100k, so it's not something I need to do immediately.

TIA

Welcome to the site, as said before we are often versed in other cars too.

Hope you enjoy the car

I've got myself a 400 based motor drag car
had an zed 06 from 02
and currently a z28 from 99

Sh1ft seriously make buddies with the log out, you don't just cobbled together a K24 frank and run 10s...

Post it then the K23 is nothing like the other Ks it would be a total custom fab job and... for what reason really it's not that great honestly for what it is it would be a lot easier to grab a k20 and turbo it over custom fabbing that.

The 87 Civics are a completely different chassis to the 88-91. Check the pre 88 forums, here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/classic-hondas-106/.
