Exahust Muffler Choice. Help me decide once again....LoL
Ok im down to these 2 opitons... Es tuning muffler or OBX twin loop muffler. Anyone with any of these 2 mufflers post your experiences with it. Likes and dislikes. Or if you know anyone with it.
Take in mind this is going on a magnaflow cat with a 2.25" piping.

i would you tube it and see which one sounds better. i have never been a fan of OBX personally and i know es makes good stuff.
Well the problem is i like both. I had a es tuinig muffler before. So thats why i wanted to try something new. I guess.
i just listened to both on youtube and i thought the es was a big raspier and ricey sounding. the obx seemed to be a bit deeper which i like. have you looked into the ws2 universal muffler? i think it sounds awesome ae well
yeah but that damm muffler is about 250 or so. Screw that. For that price i rather get the whole ws2 catback. But i dont want to spend so much money for a D.

Well im getting a WS2 muffler from a ht member in the marketplace. will it still be the same for me to run it with a 2.25" and resonator. Meaning as if i had bought the whole ws2 catback?
Or am i better with the es tuining? or obx?

A custom built exhaust using the same diameter piping will be almost equal as far as flow to that of the full cat back.
If you aren't mandrel bent then you will lose a little flow there. But the WS2 cat back DOES have a resonator as well. Not sure how they compare though.
Sorry if this doesn't answer your question.

well from what I know all muffler shops do mandrel bent exhaust piping. And I think the ws2 catback is 2.36" rather than my 2.25".
I guess I got ripped off. Haha. I've seen some pretty bad bends come out of some muffler shops.
That's really not a huge difference. I wouldn't worry about it. Whats the inlet size on the muffler itself?

its of a full ws2 catback from a eg. So I'm guessing around 2.5. But I'm hoping it sounds better than a es tuning. Cuz I'm getting it for 150 used. Or I can get a es tuning new for 110. So its about a 40 dollar diffirence and wondering if its worth it as its used.
Me personally, I couldn't give a **** about who makes the piping or the muffler. As long as its good quality that's what I'll run.
If you like the ES muffler I would go with that. Good quality, cheaper and brand new. But that's just me.
If you already have 2.25 piping there's no real need to have it redone and if you just want a change of mufflers, then just go with what you like and can get a good deal on.
I wouldn't worry about the muffler having a 2.5 opening either. If you like that one, go for it. I would just want to be at least a LITTLE different than everyone else on here.

well my piping is till stock. I'm getting everything done this weekend. That's why I'm purchasing the muffler this weekend. All I'm wondering is if 150 is really worth it for a used ws2 muffler.
