Car pulling when switching gears
I have a 2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl EX VTEC Automatic Transmission. I might be imaging things but it seems like the car is pulling or working hard (not sure how to describe it) when it switches gears. You can notice it when you turn corners or sometimes when you accelerate gradually. Would an oil change fix this or is this something that someone knows about and how could I fix it?
If you are describing what I think you are describing, then the transmission is slipping during shifts. Usually at that point, the only thing that will help is to have the tranny rebuilt.
Aren't you the same person that had a CEL on with a transmission code?
If you're lucky, you might just have a solenoid going bad. You can test the solenoids with an ohmmeter, but I can't remember the specifications for it. You'd need to look it up in a service manual of some sort, whether a Haynes, Chiltons, or Helms.
