Default Just an Intro... 00' PY #0141 inside

Owner of 00' PY #0141
Just moved down to Greenacres, FL from Orlando, FL
I am a current FAU student and recently picked up my R about a month or so ago.
I have a good alarm, only bad thing is that the community where I live has no garages. There are garages, but only some of them have.

on to the pics.

looks good, only thing i'd suggest would be to change the wheels; not a big fan of white on yellow.

Nice R, depending on the area a garage isn't necessary. Mine is always kept outside. I have owned it over a year now.

Looks good man! Not really feelin' the Honda badges, but to each his own. Definitely get a garage. It's something you won't regret.

thanks for the inputs guys, not sure if the area where i live is a thieving ground, but it is not possible for me to get a garage, i live in a small community and I am also a student so I can't really shell out extra cash to rent one. I guess I have to take my chances of not having it garaged, I've had it for about two months now and nothing has happened yet. Lets hope it stays that way

Clean caR! Do whatever you can to keep it safe. Black out your plate and erase the town and school you live in from your original post. That will help take down the "Open" sign for theives. Put a Camaro cover on it that says Chevy all over it.

yeah but then you run the risk of people walking up and peeing all over your car.

you need a car cover than blends it in with the rest of the surroundings, kinda like this guy.

Greenacres or anywhere in the Lake Worth area is one of the worst for Honda/Acura thefts here in Palm Beach County. All the Honda thieves live out there.....However it will disappear from the FAU parking lot probably just as fast. You better get some kill switches like as soon as you read this. Basically there is no daily driving any Integra or 99-00 Civic around here without a garage and kill switches. My last PY Type R had four attempted thefts, the only thing that saved it was my very cleverly hidden switch! I have personally known a ton of people who have had their car stolen around here. The thieves never sleep and they love yellow Integras and blue Civics the most. I am trying to give you a heads up before it is too late and your Type R becomes a bare shell with drum brakes. I wish you the best of luck though....**** atleast chain it to a tree.

Ive parked my car at FAU for 3 days straight nothing happened to it, id be more worried about parking my car down at city place, i heard a 5 lug blu si was stolen down there, but my car usually just sits in its parking spot, it is my daily, however i work with my gf in coconut creek so i usually carpool with her so it isnt driven as much as it was in orlando. You are right, maybe I should inverst in some kill switches or something considering that I dont have a garage. or maybe take out my ECU or take some other types of precautions.
