after skunk2 IM manifold install car idles for a few seconds then dies
Hello All,
trying to get some insight or things to check for from people who have installed a skunk2 intake manifold.
after the install when i go to start the car it idles around 3000 for 6-10 seconds, then dies.
I still have the stock throttle body which has the FITV.
I deleted the EGR and i'm using a s300 on a p72 which doesn't read EGR
my next thought is the IACV, but that is install and hooked up right.
thoughts/insight appreciated.
Thanks!

hmm i was thinking the same thing, although easier said then done.
I don't have the IACV relocator parts so i bolted it to the back of the manifold. i have the IACV sensor plug facing the drivers side.
i am 95% sure this is the right way for it to face.
that being said if you or someone could check and tell me how the lines are ran i could rule this out.
(ex. the vacuum hose on the IACV that is closest to the sensor plug is connected to the hole on the back of the intake manifold that is more on the driver's side)
someone please confirm

I second checking this. Try seeing if there may be fuel leaking anywhere also. The pump maybe can build pressure for it to start but maybe once it starts leaking when it's running, it dies
hmm....well i have a 3bar map sensor so i don't think it could be the plugs mixed up.
Also if i datalog on the hondata s300 i can see the tps showing the throttle percentage. which confirms the plugs being correct.
at first when i primed the fuel pump i began to smell fuel. then i loosened and tightened the fuel rail banjo bolt and the leak stopped.
thanks for the quick responses, keep em coming.
