Pulley noise?
On thursday I hear a noise under the hood of my 2003 Civic Si, when I looked under the hood I found a piece of my serpentine belt on top of my intake manifold and noticed a section of the belt was missing, like one whole rib. I took it to a local shop the next day to have it replaced. I droped it off in the morning and they called me in the afternoon and said that part of the belt had wraped around the back of the crank pulley and they would have to take it off in order to remove it, I said fine. When I picked the car up and got home I noticed a noise coming from under the hood that had not been there before. I lifted the hood and the noise seemed to be related to the belt or pulleys as it seemed to be a recipricating noise, not a squeek but more like woot woot woot woot. I took the car back to the shop and after some llistening and probing the technician said it was the tensioner pulley. I left the car with them for another day to have that replaced and when I picked it up today and got home it is still making the same noise. I took it back again but they were closed. One of the advisors or managers was just leaving and when I told him it was still making the same noise, he was very defensive and said well its nothing we did all we did was replace a belt( the advisors have not been very nice, even on the original visit when I was just bringing them some work). I told him I would bring it back on monday to have them look at it again, but of course at this point I am having some trust issues. Any help or info or ideas you could give me would be very appreciated.
