I just found a Carbon Fiber Mugen steering wheel in a local listing, for $40. I was wondering if it is even geniune, and if so how much is it worth? I see some Mugen steering wheels on eBay for over $300. Should I jump on it?

 

Not saying $40 is a bad deal, but regardless, it's fake.

I can cut you some slack solely based on your registration date, but I can't believe that you would even ask if that was an authentic Mugen wheel. LOL.

i would've drove the 2 hours so i could listen to two hours of classical mozart and beethoven, then bought the wheel and used it as a mugen-powered frisbee of awesomeness. when you throw it it will go not too far, but vtec kicks in and next thing you know it has already cut through a jet flying in the stratosphere.

 

Thank you for the first couple of responses, should've expected the rest from Honda-Tech members.

I don't know much about modding my Honda or anything (yet), and all I know is Mugen is a highly sought-after brand. I don't know their product line, so I thought I'd ask.

 

Buy it if you like it, not because you're jumping on the name brand bandwagon. It wouldn't matter if Mugen DID make that wheel, I wouldn't even buy it for $40--it's hideous!

 

I wasn't looking into buying it for my car, I'm not much into aftermarket steering wheels. I was looking into reselling it, if you guys thought it was authentic.

 

Well, let this be your first lesson about eBay then. If it's too good to be true...then it's probably a knockoff.

 

if you like that wheel you can go on virginia's craigslist and get that wheel w/ a hub for 25$. I was thinking of getting it for my nephew since he could use the hub
