2nd Gen Integra, LS-Vtec without the vtec troubleshooting?
I recently just put an obd1 GSR head onto my b18b1 block, and along with the head, i converted the car from obd0 to obd1 as well and its running on a chipped p28 ecu with a basemap on it. But, for whatever reason, since i got the car running, it hasnt popped vtec once yet. Now, i am already aware of the conditions for vtec to happen, and this engine was running perfectly and should've popped vtec many times. It has oil, no CEL's, and the water temperature check was disabled in the ecu. So im not sure what else it could be, but ive narrowed it down to two possibilities.
1, it could be the rocker arms in the head not locking
or
2, it could be the oil pressure switch
I just wanted to ask, is it correct for the oil pressure switch to maintain continuity when the vtec solenoid is not activated?
and I also wanted to know if when you jump the vtec solenoid with 12V, and the engine is running, should the rocker arms be locking and vtec be "forced" to engage?

bump; does anyone know if i'm at least on the right track to getting this all sorted out, or can offer any additional advice/information??
