Icon2 Idle issue (Might be linked to coolant leak?)...Searched, Tested...need help

Hey guys,

Ok so here is the background. For those of you who have read my build thread on my gfs del sol it have been nothing but problems since I took on the project. It had horrible idle issues and I had gotten code 14 after the swap. Since then the problem has been resolved and no CEL or surging idle just at 1,500rpms or surge while driving went a constant amount of gas was being applied.

There was a cooling issue but it was a short in the fan plug (thank you RBrandonS).

I replaced the ECU with a P28 and the CEL disappeared and the IACV works fine. However I had replaced the TPS sensor (old one got damaged during swap), and it was never calibrated. Did that yesterday as there were still some idle issues. It was set to .51 and 4.40 WOT. I thought that fixed everything but it didn't.

Car pulls strong and no loss of power but the idle is still kinda high (1,200-1,400rpms) and then will go down to about 1,100 and randomly drop to 700rpm or so and shoot back up. I found a coolant leak that looks like it is coming from the water valve. I have replaced the hose on it recently. There is coolant on the rear engine mount and on the mount pass side firewall.

IACV was cleaned
New TB gasket
FITV looked fine when taken off

Do you think that air is entering the coolant system causing the idle? Any ideas or thoughts please through them my way. This car is turning into a money pit for my gf and we just need a reliable DD. Thanks in advanced.

It was bleed or so I thought. I had done it just 2 weeks ago because of the fan problem and troubleshooting stuff. But I'm thinking that this leak is where the disappearing coolant was going to. So replace the water valve and go from there?
