if you find tokico blue to stiff then anything else is going to be really to stiff unless its stock!

sways wouldn't make his vertical bound any stiffer.

what kind of springs do you have. either get softer springs or deal with it. higher spring rates are needed for lowered car and to reduce body roll.

Yes they do, they are in effect torsion springs. Unbolt one side of you sways some time, you will be shocked at the difference in ride down a bumpy street.

I love smarta$$ replies with no facts to back them up.....do you really think that sways do not effect ride quality? One of the ways to test a theory is to take the theory to the limit.....

normal case.....you are driving your riced out civic down the road, you hit a 3 inch tall bump with your right tire...what happens?
1) the wheel hits the bump that forces the wheel up
2) the knuckel and lca are forced up
3) the spring is compressed
what happens to the sway that is attached to the right lca, the body in 2 places and the left lca?.....does it flex maybe? Would that flexing add to the overall spring rate of the car if you riced out civic was stiff enough to not flex?

Take the theory to the limit.....Say megan came out with a new 6 inch dia solid swaybar that they claim will make you the king of all ricers, you of course buy it......How Would your car react to a 3 inch bump with a swaybar that would work well on a 70 ton M1a2 main battle tank? Would your front suspension be independant any more? Would the ride quality be effected? What would happen is as you run over that 3 inch tall bump, the sway would not flex...at all, the lca would not move at all independant of the other lca and the whole corner of the car would be forced up....has ride quality been effected?

Don't beleive me?....pick up a cusco 25mm soild rear sway or a hotchkis 27mm hollow rear sway.....dips and speed bumps do not effect the ride with a super stiff sway as long as it effects both wheels the same amount. The sway just pivots. Ask the suspension to be independant though and you will feel a stiff sway with bumps and dips that only effect one wheel..

tokico blues are oem replacements. if that's too stiff then a lowered car isn't for you. put the stock springs back in and see if the ride gets better .
