how can i make a skid plate for my header?

im by no means a pro at fabricating things but i need to know a simple way to fab a piece of aluminum into a functional skid plate for the occasional scraping on speed bumps ect. How would i go about mounting it so it doesn't rattle around?

use hose clamps around the tubes.
