Honda newb, what mounts to get?
Hi,
Just got a ls swapped ej, mainly used for dd and late night back road blast. I have major "rockyness"? during certain accel and decel situations, mostly 1st, 2nd gear. Logical deduction leads me to worn mounts, allowing the motor to rock. First FF car so not totally sure though. If I'm doing it should I go poly bush or just OEM? For what I see Hasport seems widely used, any other brand worth checking out? Also motor is kouki LS with roughly 80k, any ideas if its worth to switch over to synthetic or just run conventional?
Thanks,
Chris

OEM will work just fine for DD. If you have a 96-00 civic, and you still have the oil filled mount on the driver side, Hasport sells the conversion kit that uses mounts more similar to the EG's and Tegs which IMO is a better design.
just keep in mind a more solid mount= less vibration dampening... so you the driver will be the dampner through the steering wheel. i have solid mounts and its not bad at all, but i dont daily my car too much anymore either.

What he/she said. i would use oem but im poor so.....
thanks for the input guys. might go with the solid mounts just cause i always seem to through comfort to the wind, if it means gaining some feeling from the car.
