When I went to work today...everything was great. but when I got in the car to come home..I turned the key and I heard the starter spinning but not engaging the flywheel. I turned the key off and the starter kept running. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop.

Ideas?

sounds like the bendix might be worn out.

 

I replaced the starter and all is well now...thanks...
