I race a 98 prelude on a 1/4 dirt oval. I am about the fastest car. Win some. lose some! Race with mainly 2.4 twin cam gm cars and an ecotec or 2. I run a cold air intake and open exhaust. Can not run a header. Rules say engine to remain STOCK. So with this being said I need to look stock on the outside. What can I do to gain some HP. I own a auto repair shop thus skilled in mechanics. let me know your ideas.

skunk2 cams and some engine management software?

you can install cams/pistons without "seeing them" if that is your goal.

Is engine management allowed? If so, you should be able to gain some there, especially if you're open header.

 

get a 4.6 final drive gear to put down more power where needed, and maybe a lsd for more traction on dirt. This would be better than trying to get 5 hp.
