I thought I would start a new thread for this because I am using a Blackberry... Sorry for the annoyance.

anyway, I have a 95 sol with a JDM b16 swap... but it isn't hitting vtec.

I am throwing two codes... a #8 (top dead centre sensor) and a #41 (o2 sensor).

I know that the o2 wont prevent vtec from engaging, but will the TDC sensor do it???
I think I will have to replace the whole distributor if I do, but if anyone who knows for sure would chime in, I would really appreciate it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Im pretty sure a TDC cell would keep you from being able to hit vtec.

 

I ordered one so we will see tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM...

Any other confirmations would help me sleep better though.

 

come on guys??? my part store screwed up my order and never processed it. Now it won't be here until tomorrow.

WOULD A CEL#8 code keep VTEC from working??? Is the "top dead centre sensor" in the distributor?
