Better 97 accord brakes?
Lately i've decided that my 97 accord lx brakes aren't powerful enough. Sometimes it's real annoying and I have to mash the pedal more than i'd like. I've driven an 06 accord and the braking is unreal! Can't I just get some new/bigger front rotors and pads? I have drums in the back so I dont know what to do for those. Maybe just change out the front brakes? Could anyone send me some links of something I could look into?
Thanks

Ridiculously awesome compared to stockers, especially after I did a new MBC and ATE Super Blue fluids.
You could literally stop on a dime. New owner was having with with it and I believe said it was stopping noticeably sooner than his friend's STI from same speed. I never did much in terms of testing scientifically but it was a HUGE improvement.

I can only imagine..
From what I remember on your write up it was fairly decent priced aswell.. If you were going to do this yourself anyway.. It would be probably less than half the cost of most quality big brake "kits" deffinitely something to look into..
Its like somewhere in the range of 300-400$ for the NSX calipers.. Id say you could get away with doing the conversion for less or around 500$
No?

I the process of upgrading mine as well, but no reason to go extreme with legend or nsx 2 piston stuff. Plus I want it all to fit under my stock 15" ex wheels.
I am doing 11.1" diameter rotors from the av6/ wagon, 25t brackets, wagon/ av6 calipers... should be enough of an upgrade to improve braking quite a bit, its cost effective, dont have to change the brake master cyl., etc.

When I was doing mine, I went the easiest route at the time... Buying parts in the US and taking it out the country I had to make sure that everything I bought would work...
Only upgraded the fronts..
1. Brembo Sport Slotted Rotors ~$100
2. Goodridge Stainless Steel Lines ~$100
3. Hawk HPS Pads - ~$60
4. ATE Superblue Fluid - ~$12
Even this relatively small upgrade made a big difference.... imagine what the NSX calipers and some bigger rotors would do!
