just hit 60k on my teggy!
seems like a milestone to me, i wish i was closer to 100k miles still, but i thought i should let all other teg owners out there, its not that big of a deal but it is to me, so are there any major things i should do at 60k miles? major repairs? i runs great right now

Otherwise, follow the standard 60k maintenance.
About to hit 80k on my DC2, probably next week or so. Not too shabby for a 9 year old daily driver...

i just traded a 162,000 mile da for a 206,000 mile cd7. i have no issues with it. if you take care of a car and maintain it like its supposed to be maintained, it should last you for a long long time.
if you wana do some work on your car for fun thats a lot of easy stuff too do.
man it depends on what youve changed out already.
but here some things you could do if needed.
oil change, i did mine every 2800 miles in my teg but it was built and i have harsh weather conditions. 3,500 is good if u just DD, if u race a lot 3,000 miles.
spark plugs is probly a good idea get some iridiums (at minimum check your gaps for fun)
new intake filter, if its aftermarket intake u just clean it
check your throttle body and cable, adjust cable if needed, make sure no carbon buildup on the butterfly
you could do trans fluid... but you dont need to yet
you should deffinetly Seafoam the car, go buy some and while your cars on unplug a vacume hose around manifold and let the vaccume hose suck up like 1/4 the bottle. if you do too much its going to take forever. then let your car idle for like 15 minutes rev it occasionally the more it smokes the more its cleaning. after 15 minutes turn off your car for a few minutes then start her up and drive around for a little.
check all your motor mounts for signs of wear on bushings and make sure bolts are still snug. especially the driverside mount, that one broke on me before.
check for any leaks, coolant lines, cracks in radiator (especially on the neck) and exhaust leaks from head back at every flange.
check all fluid levels and fill up if low. coolant, brake, power steering
actually you really should flush your radiator and put in new coolant, i got my integra to operate at lower tempertures by using roughly 30% coolant, (prestone) and 70% Distilled water, then get Redline water wetter from your local auto store and add that and your good. when your done start your car with the radiator cap off, because some air gets in when u flush, so whenever the water stopes bubling up then the air is gone.
you could do timing belt, thats not critical but atleast check it for any rips tears or missing teeth, if anything look wrong change it.
btw if you race at all, ONLY use castrol Syntec 5w30 i swear its the best, or the new castrol edge its worth the money more then cheap oil. Anytime your gona go race fill your oil up past the middle line, but dont get too close to the top. because if your poppin vtec all day it burns up the oil quick, if your worried about that then u can use 10w30 instead doesnt burn up as quick.
im bored so i hope any of this is useful or interesting.
If you wana know anything else or need to learn how to do something shoot me a pm i luv helpin people in honda community.

you done anything to yours? well if you were wondering at all about matinence for 60k, i put down a few of the important things i can think of.
you should flush the radiator if you never have. you wouldnt belive how much brown **** came out when i flushed mine at 20k.
and I would take off your Intercooler and clean the inside of everything, TB the y pipe on intercooler and all the couplers, because sometimes oil gets in there specially if u not stock.
And you need to do spark plugs, its a bitch but you should really change them.
if you have or plan on getting a bigger turbo, get ngk iridiums one step colder. I run them in my sti. The part number is LFR7AIX.
Yeah I have a good bit done to it. It'll run a mid 12 also (I don't track though). I'm currently 20psi on the stock turbo with boltons. It runs really good for what it is, but I've been at this power level for over 2 years so I am kind of used to it. I'm focusing on the Teg now. I just got it as a daily/project car. I've always worked on Honda's but never had one personally, and I've had just about everything else. I'm glad to finally have one.
I wasn't asking about maintenance on my STi btw, just stating the miles.
back to integra's...
